Customised process parameters in our microproduction lab plant

Since fat and oil feeds often differ considerably, we tailor a specific process and catalyst solution for each client. To do this, we run kinetic studies in our in-house continuous biodiesel manufacturing plant. This plant uses solid catalyst technology to produce 100 ml of biodiesel per hour. Using this plant, we produce samples of biodiesel from the client’s own feed, under conditions that mimic closely those of the large-scale production process. In this way, the process flowsheet development is performed in close co-operation with the client, on the basis of personalized experiments and reactor design.
